Tarana
Tarana is a cultural publication that focuses on Indian classical and folk dance styles. It includes informative articles about different styles of dance, feature articles from well-known dancers, and more. The wordmark was created by combining Latin and Devanagari characters to communicate authenticity and culture.

Further iteration was done with the font Yatra One, and the focus was adding grace, fluidity, and drama to the letterforms.

The process for this publication was long and iterative. We started with typeface pairings, continued onto image and type, and ended with cohesive global and local rules. The focus was on communicating rhythm, grace, and discipline through text, again pulling inspiration from the concept statement.
